TASER, Stun guns and Pepper sprays

Self defense products have been around for many, many years now and have successfully been carried by law enforcement and the military for decades.  It’s only been in the last 15 years or so that these wonder devices have become available to the general public.

 

Seeing that these agencies have such a highly effective less-lethal method of stopping the common criminal companies as TASER International, Mace and Stun Master produced self defense products that are user-friendly to people like you and me.   

These self defense devices are less-lethal substitutes to the carry of more lethal firearms.  Rather than using what could end up in deadly force, these tools will immobilize an assailant for a short period of time which allows the escape to a safer surrounding. 

Every self defense weapon on the market today will provide a less-lethal means of protection.  However every form has its own way of performing.  Depending on the situation at hand will depend on which self defense product should be used in your defense strategy.  

Pepper sprays are a derivative of cayenne peppers.  This is called oleoresin capsicum otherwise known as OC. When in contact with the skin of an attacker it will cause a severe burning sensation.  It is contrasting to anything else you can conceive of.  It will also cause shortness of breath, coughing, choking and temporary blindness in some cases.  Its effects will last up to 45 minutes with the aftermath prolonging up to another 2 hours.

Taser guns are in fact the ultimate in protection.  These devices use new electro-muscular disruption (EMD) technology that disables an assailant by overriding the central nervous system. When fired two electrified probes will travel up to 15 feet and can penetrate through up to two inches of clothing.  This self defense device is nearly 100 percent effective.

Stun guns use high-voltage and low amperage which will disable an attacker for up to 5 to 10 minutes. The electrical charge causes the muscles to work very rapidly depleting all the blood sugars in the assailant's body so the person’s body hasn’t any energy left to move. 

Stun guns, Taser guns and Peppersprays are very affordable, compact and easily concealable.  There costs usually range from $8.50 to $90.  Taser guns are more expensive, with prices starting at about $370 and up.
