Take Precautionary Measures in your Personal Protection

To many, it may seem as though we are preaching the same ole thing and for the most part we are, however it's with good reason as we are dedicated in helping you purchase self defense weapons for your personal protection.  We want you to take your personal safety seriously.  After all if you don't who will?  It's up to you to take precautionary measures in your own well being, no one can be there to protect you 24/7.

In an earlier writing I spoke of the attack that happened upon me.  It was the worst experience in my life and even though it was many years ago it's like it was yesterday and for that I am truly passionate about these wonder devices I sell.  I started this business to help you make it through an attack with the least bit of harm to you.

In my time self defense weapons weren't allowed to be purchased by citizens.  Fighting on the street meant you and the attacker with nothing in between and believe me you do not want to have an attacker jump out at you and not be prepared with self defense devices.

If you don't want to purchase defense tools you should always have something with you that can be used to your benefit.  A pocket full of change, an umbrella, keys tightly held between your fingers, high heals, pens, any of these items can be used defensively.

Whether you choose to purchase self defense devices or not, keep these handy items in mind as they too can prevent you from serious harm in the event of an attack.

The next time you are walking to or from your car, shopping, out partying, in the park think about your safety and what you could do to help yourself.  Take the necessary steps, prepare and never ever give up.

This advice comes to you because we truly do care.

Real Estate Professionals should Carry Self Defense Devices

If you work in the Real Estate Industry you need to purchase self defense devices as soon as possible.  Do you realize that you are one of the top profession risks in today's society?

It's no wonder you are at a high risk.  Think about it, you are dealing with strangers on a daily basis.  Taking these people into homes, condos, rentals, businesses alone and unarmed is very dangerous.

For the most part the many people you are dealing with are good citizens and there isn't any harm about to come your way, however there are some out there who pretend to be someone looking for their ideal spot and are only there to get you alone somewhere to attack.  This is a simple way for the common criminal to get what he/she wants.  This profession makes it easy.

If for any reason while meeting an individual to do business with, you feel something isn't quite right, it isn't right, trust your instincts and never second guess yourself.  Excuse yourself from this situation however you can, do not take them out alone.  Always let someone know where you are going, whether it is an associate, your boss, your friends, your family members.  Checking in with any of these trusted people and having them do the same is simply smart.

Never walk in front of your clients, always follow behind them when showing properties.  Stay near doorway entrances so you have an easy out if necessary.  There's no reason for you to get in front of them and allow yourself to be trapped inside.

Always carry self defense devices with you on your person and in your vehicle.  With the many varieties available today you have a number of choices to pick from.  Self defense sprays are amongst the most popular and can defend you sufficiently.  These defense tools are compact, easily carried without drawing attention, affordable and easy to operate.

Other great self defense device options you should consider are personal alarms, stun guns and taser guns.  All these tools are designed to help aid you in prevention and if used properly will do as they are meant to.

None of these self defense weapons can help you if you choose not to carry them.  Always have yourself in ready mode; you will never know when you will need it most.

Self Defense Weapons only Work if you Carry them

Have you thought about purchasing you or a loved one self defense weapons?  If you have, you are on the right track in personal protection.  One of the most important components of purchasing these self defense devices is carrying them.

What good are these defense tools if you don't have them with you?  If you don't carry a cell phone how is 911 going to help you?  These questions raise much concern to me as many who may be making the smart decisions in purchasing defense tools do not take the initiative to make it a habit in carrying them.

For some the reality of today's world has hit hard with severe force and has prompted the majority to buy such items as Self defense sprays, Stun guns and Taser products.  These less-lethal weapons are designed to help aid you in your personal safety but if one doesn't consistently take their weapons on the road with them they certainly will not perform as they are meant to.

Self defense devices should be an important factor in everyone's daily routine.  You get up, take a shower, get dressed, drink your coffee and right before you are ready to leave your home for work there lay your car keys.  You grab them as you can't go anywhere without them, that's where your self defense device should be placed, right with your car keys.  Attach it if you must to remember it, no excuses, mishaps, it is there and you take it.

One will never know if and when an attacker will approach.  You must be prepared at all times, attacks happen very quickly, within seconds so time is of the essence.  You took the first step in purchasing yourself a self defense device, now it is up to you to make it a task of your everyday routine.

You are safer carrying self defense weapons than not carrying them.  Remember, it's your life on the line, it's you or them, take your safety seriously it can happen to you at anytime or any place.  If a bad situation falls upon you, you'll be glad you had your weapon with you.

Self Defense Products are Important in your Protection

Many without realizing show a reactive response to self defense rather than taking a pro-active method of response.  One needs to become more aware of their safety and surroundings.  Why would anyone want to wait until after an attack to become pro-active in their self defense?  With the many self defense products on the market today there isn't any reason why one should wait, rather you should be preparing in the event you are approached.  In today's world of increasing criminal activities it's vital you prepare instead of allowing something to happen to you.

Self defense products are a smart choice in weaponry carry.  They are less-lethal meaning you won't permanently harm anyone and will help aid you in your defense against attacks.  Women especially are at higher risks of being attacked than men, which is a good reason for women to become familiar and purchase the self defense products available to them today.

Yes it's true that crimes happen more at night, however if you are traveling out and about during daylight hours it's also a good idea to have your self defense products with you, you should carry them at all times no matter what time of day it is.  It's good practice while walking to keep in heavily traffic and in well-lit areas, avoiding dimly lit streets if possible.  Don't leave your home with a lot of jewelry and money and you might want to think about wearing shoes that will allow you to run if necessary, avoiding the cell phone while walking is highly recommended, you don't want distraction, you need to be aware of your surroundings.

Carrying self defense products that are easily concealable and easy to carry should be a common practice anytime you leave your home.  These devices can protect you from a potential attacker.

There are many styles as self defense sprays, stun guns, taser guns, personal alarms available to you today.  These self defense products which ever you choose are designed to do a job, that's help you in your defense.  If used properly they will do exactly that.  If you choose not to purchase or if you do purchase and don't carry it's not going to help you.  This is a very important factor in your defense.

Purchasing self defense products is a wise choice in your defense and if you haven't bought your self defense tool yet you are taking a chance on your safety.  Don't become a victim first, get pro-active and prepare before something happens.  You'll be glad you did.

Having a Security Plan can only help You and your Family

It looks like it's going to be a gorgeous day today and I'm sitting here thinking about people and I'm asking myself; are they keeping themselves safe from intruders and street attackers?  I'm wondering if these same people ever sit back and take a look at what's around them and if they are taking steps to secure their safety both in the home and with their personal self.

Many have diligently provided protection and many simply choose not to think about it or maybe have and place it on the back burner as it's not important enough therefore, not taking any measures to keep them and their families safe.

Maybe some believe that securing their homes and personal self is just too expensive and think they can't afford it.  This couldn't be further from the truth.  With the abundance of products on the market today you can inexpensively purchase home security products as well as self defense devices.

You don't have to buy an expensive surveillance system, rather you can utilize home alarms throughout, on windows and doors.  You can also place motion detectors about your home.  There's even a phone alarm that senses motion and will call up to five people you direct it to call in the event someone enters your home.  Hidden cameras are another option to explore.  These cameras look like ordinary household items that no one would expect to be recording.  There are other means of securing your home without spending a fortune.

In terms of self defense devices, there is a plentiful variety of options to explore.  Self defense sprays, stun guns, taser guns, batons, personal alarms, the list is endless.  These defense tools come in different styles, sizes, voltage levels, are very compact and affordable.

Crimes as home invasions, robbery, rape and murder is scary and this could be the reason why many choose not to think about it.  Yes, it's a very scary thought but one that needs to be addressed and treated with high priority.  This is one subject area that should not be ignored.  Rather it should be discussed with family members, thought out carefully and executed.  You can't have a proper solution if you don't have a good plan.

Maybe it's because people just believe that this will never happen to them, let's hope it never does.  If you are one of those who believe you will never be victimized you need to change your way of thinking.  I'm not saying to run around in a paranoid state, what I am saying is that it can happen to you at any given time and place. Isn't it better to be prepared than sorry you didn't take care of your home and personal protection when you could have?

It doesn't matter where you are anymore, the criminal's have taken their businesses and expanded into areas that you never would have thought to be targeted.

In the end, having awareness and taking the initial steps in securing your home and self is crucial and should be taken very seriously.  Once you device a plan, act on it, purchase your defense devices, know your security measures and what to do if needed will only help you and your family in the end.  Now I'd say that is worth it wouldn't you?

You find yourself having to work later than usual, it's now dark out and you are ready to leave work.  You head out to your car and discover yours is the only vehicle left in the parking garage.  As you suddenly hear footsteps coming in your direction your heart starts to beat rapidly, you turn to see who's behind you and you now realize you are in great danger.  Do you have self defense devices with you or are you left to fend off the danger you are about to face?  If you are one of the people who chose to become pro-active in their personal safety and had a self defense weapon with you and in ready mode kudos to you!  This scenario here has happened to others and can in fact happen to you.

We can't stress enough on the importance of your personal safety and that it shouldn't be taken with a grain of salt.  These situations happen very often and no one is an exception to this type of crime.  Criminal's are everywhere and lurk in dark corners, behind shrubs, alley ways, walk right up to you on the street and you will most likely not know what's going to happen until a matter of seconds prior.

Carrying weapons as self defense sprays, stun guns, batons or taser guns will help defend you.  Just purchasing these self defense devices isn't enough though.  You need to learn its use to the point you are confident on how it works and your ability to use it.  Practice with your new device until you are fully versed and feel comfortable knowing that someday you just might need to use it.

Paying close attention to your surroundings, showing confidence at all times and utilizing self defense devices properly can only help you so get pro-active, purchase yourself tools that will keep you safer and take your personal safety serious.  Attacks happen very quickly and it's a matter of whether or not you choose to be a victim or stand your ground and take control over the situation.

The choice is yours.

Why aren't you Carrying Self Defense Devices?

Has it become apparent to people that the crime rate has significantly risen over the past few years?  With unemployment rates skyrocketing, their are many who are turning to crime.  This is a scary thought and with all that's happening in today's society one must have more awareness now than ever before.

Stressing these facts to many doesn't seem to get the point across.  They have this disbelief thought that crime will not come in their direction.  These are the people who choose to live their lives without a thought in their mind on self protection.  Many of these same individual's are at a higher risk as they go about their normal daily activities not having awareness of what's around them.  These are the same people who will potentially become someone's next victim.

If you don't believe in carrying any type of self defense devices whether it be less-lethal or lethal you are doing yourself a dis-service.  It's very wise for anyone to have some sort of protection device on their person at all times.  It's also smart to have this same protection scattered throughout their homes.

Being proactive and paying attention to your surroundings is very important.  The more aware you are the less chances of becoming a victim of crime.  Exuding confidence in yourself while walking even if you don't know where you are is another crucial element in self protection

Most criminals will prey on the weak and they watch to see who fits their requirements.  They are far from stupid and will wait until they find the right person to attack.  This being said, the more confidence and awareness you protrude to others the less chances that you will be victimized.

Exuding confidence and awareness are a great tactic however this alone may not be enough to prevent you from crime so why wouldn't you want to add to your personal safety by carrying self defense devices

Self defense sprays and stun guns are very affordable, if used properly they will perform as they are meant to and aid you to safety.  If you opt to purchase taser guns they will have a higher price tag however you will be buying yourself the ultimate in less-lethal weapons.

Don't hesitate in your self protection.  Purchase self defense devices before something happens.

Self Defense Devices can help in your Defense

Have you ever wondered what you would do in the event you were attacked?  Would you take control of the bad situation and do whatever it takes to win over your attacker or would you freeze up and let the attacker take over you?

This is not an easy question to answer.  Everyone reacts in different ways and until it actually happens to you, you won't really know what your reaction will be.  What I can tell you is, by carrying self defense devices you can surely increase your odds of surviving hopefully with minimum harm to you.  I say hopefully as it's going to depend on you as to how you come out of an attack.

Many today have this notion that it will never happen to them no matter how many times you try to express that there are possibilities of finding yourself in a bad situation.  One in every five women in their lifetime will become a victim of crime.  It doesn't mean that it will only happen while out and about.  There are many who are experiencing spousal and boyfriend abuse as I'm writing this.

This type of crime breaks down the victims self esteem, making it very difficult for them to get away.  Many of these women do not try to escape and seek help, they don't tell anyone what they are going through, their feeling as though they can't, too afraid, no confidence in themselves, what will happen to them, will the abuser come after them, find them and possibly kill them.  The abuser mentally and physically controls them with continuous threats on their lives.  Is this anyway to live your life?  Absolutely not.

Women who are experiencing this abuse need to muster up all the strength they can both mentally and physically, keep composure and take control of the situation.  As hard as this may sound to someone going through this abuse it can be done if you try.  They need to believe in themselves.  Have a plan, tell someone you trust that can help you and carry it through.

Becoming proactive in your defense by purchasing self defense devices as pepper sprays, stun guns and taser guns can help yourself get out from under an abuser.

No one deserves to live their lives like this, have faith in what you're capabilities can be, take action now, don't waste another day with your abuser, your life is worth it.

Self Defense Weapons will Help you in Today's Society

If you have been pondering whether or not to purchase self defense weapons for yourself or a loved one you are on the right track by being proactive in your personal protection. The news broadcasts will tell you that violent crimes against women are consistently occurring.

Whether it is physical abuse by a spouse or boyfriend, rape, murder, robbery it's continuing to rise in record numbers and no signs of stopping, only getting worse as time goes on.

Pepper spray, stun guns and TASER® are the best defense devices in the for your personal fight against attack.  Now is the time to become proactive and take control of your own destiny.

Most crimes have happened already before policemen arrive.  Why would one want to wait until after you have become a victim of a violent crime?  You can prevent yourself from becoming a statistic.

Taser C2
By being smart and proactive in your personal defense and purchasing self defense weapons you will increase the odds of surviving an attack with minimal harm.  Where you live or work doesn't matter anymore in today's society, crime will find you at some point in your life especially if you are a woman.  Being prepared at all times is a crucial component in self defense

It’s a shame that we can't go about our own business without having to worry about getting attacked. I'm not saying that we have to live our lives in constant fear, however don't you think you would feel much better knowing that you are prepared just in case you are approached?  You should also be prepared mentally as well for what might come your way unexpectedly.

Pepper Pen
One in every five women will be a victim of some sort over their life span. In the USA an individual  is assaulted every two minutes, one out of every 5 college females will be sexually assaulted and a  staggering 60% of rapes will never be reported. The statistics are beyond comprehension.

If you are one of the smart ones you will purchase self defense weapons for your personal protection. If this is you then kudos to you for taking the first step in your line of defense.  When purchasing self defense devices you want to make sure you do your homework on which is best for you. It’s a personal decision and you must feel comfortable with the weapon you chose.

Pretender Stun Gun
Whether you choose pepper spray, stun guns or a   TASER® device the best thing you can do for yourself is learn that weapon inside out.  These defense devices come with instructions which is great, however if you don't practice you may not learn its performance correctly.  Practicing will definitely help you, drawing your weapon, turning it on, where's the safety switch, how fast can you draw it, these are all important factors in being prepared in using your new defense tool.  You need to be fully versed in its operation in order to protect yourself effectively.

Which ever self defense weapon you choose, never leave home without it.   Always have it readily accessible.  Your  self defense weapons will not do you any good if you're not carrying it.  You must become aware of needing to have it with you at all times.

By utilizing self defense weapons you have made the right decision.  If you should never use your weapon and hopefully you never need to, you have still made a smart decision in carrying at all times.

Know your Self Defense Devices before you Use Them

In this day and age the choices on self defense weapons are endless, given this, there shouldn't be any reason why one wouldn't have self protection devices.  When considering the purchase of self defense devices it's important you figure out which product fits your needs, this is something only you can determine for yourself.  Once you have decided on the defense device that suits you purchase it.  Don't hesitate in your personal security.

Crucial factors here are knowing your self defense weapons, learn how to use it, know how to turn it on and off, where's the safety switch, how far away can you be from your attacker in order for it to perform?  These are all questions you should be asking yourself while learning your newly purchased device.  Knowing your weapon is a key component in using it, you don't want to be in a situation of needing to use your self defense weapons and not know how to.  No room for hesitation it's crucial  that you know it inside and out.

Over carrying self defense weapons isn't a good idea either.  If your preferences are to carry a wide variety of weapons that's fine, however you should only carry one at any given time, two at most.  If  the need arises to use any self defense weapons you don't want to have to make a choice.  There won't be any time for that, attacks happen within seconds and you need to be ready.  By not knowing how to use your weapon or if it's legal for that matter can actually get you into more trouble than it's worth.

Given these facts, don't purchase any self defense weapons unless you know actually which one is right for you, learn your new defense device thoroughly, carry one at a time and always, always have it readily available.

Shop our store for all your defense needs.  We can provide you with the most up to date products at very affordable prices.  Get your protection today, your life is worth it, isn't it?

Pepper spray, Stun Guns, TASER, which should you choose?

In most states when carrying self protection weapons you don't have to worry about getting a permit to carry, however a few do require it depending on which less-lethal weapon you choose to carry.   However these self defense devices should not be taken lightly and used with extreme caution.

Many people are choosing to carry less lethal protection methods as taser guns, stun guns and pepper sprays rather than using lethal guns today.  It's been reported by Gun shop owners that self protection weapons are being chosen over hand guns.  This is probably due to individuals not feeling comfortable or fear of using firearms.

Choosing the correct self protection weapons can be a daunting task.  There are so many brands, styles, sizes to choose from today it makes it difficult to choose which weapon is the right weapon for you.  With all the different types, styles, sizes it’s no wonder people have a difficult time making a choice. It's definitely a personal choice and one that can only be made by you, whether it be pepper spray, stun guns, batons or a Taser gun.

Pepper spray is the most affordable option out of the above listed products, however it’s about how you want to protect you and not about buying what’s cheapest.

Pepper sprays for the most part come in canister styling however they also come disguised as weights, lipsticks, pens, pagers and more, depending on which you choose you can have a 25 feet distance between you and your attacker, with costs starting at approximately $8.

Stun guns can be larger in size, come in many different styles and voltage levels and also disguised as cell phones, lipsticks, flashlights with costs ranging between $20 up to $90, keep in mind you will need close encounter with the attacker in order for the stun gun to perform.

TASER guns are the most expensive on the market with costs starting at approximately $250 to $1000,  purchasing cartridges also add to the costs.  These self defense devices are the ultimate in protection and will give you up to 15 feet distance, can be shot anywhere on the body and will penetrate through up to 2" of clothing.

All of these self protection weapons are good choices and if used properly will do the job they are meant to do.  It's a matter of personal choice for you, what you can afford and how you want to protect you.  Allow careful consideration in your protection needs prior to purchasing any self defense devices because in the end you want the right weapon for you!

Are You Defenseless without a Firearm?

This article written by Rick Saxby of FightingPhilosophy.com speaks of the issues related to carrying handguns and having folding knives as a back-up self defense device.  There are many talks about the government banning civilians from carrying and the possibility of them coming into your home and confiscating your self defense weapons.

Most of the people I know who have a carry permit for their pistol also carry a folding knife as a backup self defense weapon.  These friends of mine go to the shooting range or in their backyards quite often to practice shooting targets but none of them practice with their folding knives that they carry.  I think this is quite typical for America at large.

In this article, I go over a few of the reasons I think this mentality is wrong and it's just as important to practice with your folding knife as it is your pistol.

There is a question I hear a lot from people asking who have recently been issued a carry permit; "What do I do when I can't carry my pistol somewhere?"  The common answer for this question by civilians who have had carry permits for sometime is, "Carrying is a lifestyle and I make a habit of avoiding places like that."  This is a horrible answer.  It's not a solution and is someones pretend world where carrying a gun wherever they go because they have made some kind of a habit.  Here are a few places where civilians are not allowed to carry a firearm:
  1. Workplace:  Most companies forbid their employees to carry firearms on the job
  2. Courtrooms (Jury Duty), post office, DMV and other government establishments
  3. Any commercial airline travel
  4. Colleges and all sporting events that take place on campus
  5. High Schools and all sporting events that take place on campus
I think that most everyone with a sliver of common sense knows that most shooting sprees happen in places like these.  But those same people just pretend they can avoid these places.  In reality, for most of the civilian population in this country, this is not possible.  If all you have is firearms training then when you enter these places, where most of the mass shootings in our country take place, you are putting down you only line of real self defense

You don't have to be defenseless if you take the time to train with your knife.  There are studies that have shown that a person armed with a weapon such as a knife can travel the distance of about  yards in 2 seconds.  If you train with it, you can get even faster.  I'm not advising anyone to bring a knife to a gun fight but at the same time you should never underestimate what someone can do with a knife, especially if that person has intent and training.

Here are some facts for the female audience (or parents who have daughters).  Women who are between the ages of 16 and 19 are more likely than anyone in this country to be the victim of a violent crime with women ages 20-24 in at a close second.  In the case of rape, half of all victims are under 18.  A third of all rapes that occur happen to women between the ages of 12-17.  It just seems odd to me that our country is more concerned about grown men protecting themselves than the segment of the country that is statistically more likely to be violently attacked, raped or abducted.  (You have to be 21 or over to obtain a carry permit in any state).

Remember there are a lot of politicians out there dedicated to disarming the American public.

Rep. William L. Clay (D-St. Louis, MO), said the Brady Bill is "The minimum step" that Congress should take to control handguns.  "We need much stricter gun control, and eventually we should bar the ownership of handguns except in a few cases".

Senator Dianne Feinsteine Democrat-California; Interview with 60 Minutes (1995) "If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an outright ban picking up everyone of them (firearms), Mr. and Mrs. America turn them all in, I would have done it".

The real tragedy of it all is the fact that every time there is another shooting spree in this country, we come on step closer to the disarmament of the American people.  There is absolutely nothing anyone can do to stop these shooting rampages from happening.  They are just the byproducts of a society that has become almost completely morally bankrupt.

The United States economy will soon be surpassed by China's in real terms by 2016.  That is, if the IMF's latest forecasts are correct.  The sad part is we are so in debt to this massive communist superpower that they are actually starting to strongly influence our economic policies.  Don't forget that China forbids any of its own civilians to own a firearm.

Maybe we will get lucky and our biggest creditor, who at any time can stop loaning us money and our whole society comes to a screeching halt, won't care if all their debtors are armed.  However it looks like they really don't have to worry about it because our own government is taking care of the problem.  Don't think so?  Remember Katrina?  I know these victims of gun confiscation in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina have something to say:

  • Buell Teel - "Automatic rifles pointed at you, you don't have any choice...They didn't care what your rights were; they were going to deny them.  It's not America as we've known it before; it's changing"
  • Robert Zas - "Heed the warning of what this was, it's like Australia.  All of sudden, boom, they've got our rights."
  • Richard Styron - "They took 'em, and they didn't have a right to take 'em, they didn't even have a reason to take 'em."
  • Wayne Schum - "We are living proof that all they have to do is say, 'look-this is the law'."
So what exactly would be your response if a bunch of policemen had M16's pointed at you and your family, safety off and one in the chamber?  Seriously, when the police come for your guns all the tough talk stops and you hand them over.  I sincerely hope this never happens to anyone, but in the world we live in it is a very strong possibility.

What I'm getting at is anyone who believes in practical self defense training should incorporate knife and club training into their firearms routine.  this is not a guarantee to save you and your family from all harm but nothing is and it is far better than firearms training by itself.  Rest assured that for self defense purposes, a good pair of combat boots, a great folding knife, bulletproof vest and a billy club can work wonders if you keep a low profile.

Conversation about Self Defense Weapons

Last night I was out with a few friends of mine and the subject of self defense weapons came up.  As owner of PersonalProtectionandMore.com I of course talk about this subject most often as I have a real passion for the defense products I sell.  I truly believe that all, especially women should carry self defense weapons whether it be pepper spray, stun guns or a Taser as these are the top devices for self protection.

So in our conversation I was speaking about how I want to expand my resources and start selling my products at home parties.  One of my friends made the statement that you would have to market to groups who live in not so good of an area.  This baffled me.

This is a major concern as people truly do believe that if they live in a more desirable area that they are exempt from becoming a victim of a violent crime.  This couldn't be farther from the truth.  This group of people need to keep in mind that while they may live in a more desirable area they do venture out of their homes on a daily basis.  People go to work, the store, park in parking lots, go to the bank, shopping malls and where ever they may venture out to.  Should these people now believe that they are exempt from getting attacked?  Absolutely not.

In 2007 a very well liked family who lived in beautiful Cheshire, CT were victims of a violent home invasion that ended in a wife and two daughters who were slaughtered, raped and then burned to death.  The criminals thankfully have been convicted to death sentences and awaiting so in jail.  Although I am one who believes that those who take a life should die the same way they took the life of their victims. If you would like to read one of the many articles on this click HERE.

Now let me tell you how this all started.  I'll give you the short version however you'll be able to picture the story regardless.  The wife had left her home with her two daughters, driving her upscale vehicle to what I believe was a store.  The two attackers saw her in her beautiful car and decided to follow her home.  Is anyone getting the picture here?

The husband who was not home at the time eventually arrived home, as the family members who were captured in their own home were gagged and tied somewhere in the house at the time, the husband was then beaten to a pulp, tied up and left to die.  This went on for hours.  Fortunately at some point, the husband was able to escape and reach a neighbor.

This man has had to endure years of testimonies, going through two separate trials and live the dramatic, horrific things these two men did to his family over and over again for years.  This was a devastating violent crime.

Now does this true story make you feel any different about self defense?  It should.  No one is exempt here, crimes happen and you could in fact be someones next victim.

The one thing anyone shouldn't take for granted is their personal safety.  Everyone needs to pay close attention to their surroundings at all times.  Purchasing you and your loved ones self defense weapons can dramatically increase their survival rate of becoming a victim.

How do you know which Self Defense Products to purchase?

In the event of an attack it's crucial that we stay in control and have our mind-set in defense mode.  Unfortunately, one will never really know how they will react in this type of situation until it really happens.  What I can tell you is to never surrender or give up.  Do whatever you can to survive, screaming, yelling, kicking, scratching and biting are all great options in your survival however carrying self defense weapons can greatly help you out of an attack.  So what should you look for while shopping for self defense products?

You want to have convenience with your defense device.  What does that mean?  Attacks are definitely not something that's planned.  That being said, you will never know when or where a bad situation may come upon you.  Whether you are walking to your car, in a parking garage; dealing with domestic violence, at a sporting even, or while out shopping.  In the event a bad situation does come your way, you want to have easy access to your self defense products.  Examples of easy access items:  pepper sprays, stun guns personal alarms.

You also need to consider the ease of use when purchasing a defense device.  There is only a matter of seconds to react if confronted, the last thing you need is a personal defense weapon that you can't operate or use.  You want to be able to simply point and shoot, press a button or pull a trigger.  Most natural reactions from people are to start swinging so examples for ease: batons whether steel or stun, pepper sprays and stun guns.

Stopping power is extremely important in the effectiveness of your defense.  No time on taking chances when you or a loved one is being threatened.  While researching your choices you want to make sure the weapon you have chosen will take care of business.  Bottom line many of the self defense products on the market today are all very effective devices and if used properly will perform exactly as they are meant to.  It's a matter of personal choice and which you deem the right one for you.

With today's economy cost is a major factor for many who are purchasing self defense products.  Well great news!  These weapons are very affordable.  You can buy a pepper spray for as low as $8 and a Taser gun for as high as $1000.  The choices are endless.  We know cost matters to you, but keep in mind that letting cost get in the way of determining which product works best for you is not always the right decision.

Women are Especially Targets of Violent Crimes

Women are unfortunately targets of crime in nine out of ten cases and for this reason they are great candidates for carrying self defense products.  They are targets of carjacking, home invasion, street crime, rape and everything else you can think of.  We don't just say this to scare you; we say it because it's a fact.  Check with your local police for evidence.

By knowing that you are a potential target and taking steps in your personal protection defense you can help in preventing these violent crimes from happening to you.  Taking a basic self defense course is a good first start in setting a foundation for a self defense plan.  This class can also provide you with better knowledge and educate you on your personal safety.

Secondly, purchasing self defense products to help aid you in defense is a wise choice.  Self defense products have been used by law enforcement agencies and military personnel for many years in successfully subduing assailants.  Self defense sprays, stun guns and Taser products are carried by police officers as part of their arsenal of weapons.  In this country there isn't a policeman who does not have a pepper spray on his belt.  Mailmen and women with the postal service also carry self defense sprays for defense against dog attacks.

As there are so many self defense products to choose from on the market today we have devised what we believe to be some of the most effective self defense devices for you to carry.

  • The Pretender Stun Gun with its 4.5 million volts and its disguised looks of a camera cell phone, will provide you with enough take down power in a matter of 3 to 5 seconds of stunning.  It will put the attacker out of commission for up to 15 minutes.  This affords you plenty of time to escape.
  • The Mace Pepper Spray Gun shoots up to 25 feet and looks just like a small pistol.  This self defense spray shoots the pepper spray at 185 mph with no fear of blow back.  This wonder device is great protection against dog attacks and multiple attackers.  Smart choice in our book.
  • Taser C2 part of the Taser family is the smartest and most effective self defense device on the market today.  Its effectiveness is nearly at 100 percent efficient and has better stopping power than a 9mm handgun.  This Taser gun provides the same technology that police officers use daily.
So while purchasing self defense products take these three items into serious consideration as by utilizing anyone of these great devices will place you ahead of your attacker.  They are the most excellent self defense products, the most well-liked and in fact the most efficient.

Remember when shopping for self defense products some devices are not legal in some states, it is recommended that you check with your local and state laws prior to buying.

Purchasing Self Defense Products

Both men and women should be looking to protect themselves by using self defense products.  There are many ways to defend against an attacker.  There are many different self defense products on the market today your choices are endless.  Devices as stun guns, pepper sprays, taser guns and personal alarms are all useful in your personal protection.  These wonder devices come in many styles, sizes, colors, voltage levels and price ranges.  You do not have to spend a fortune to get the proper protection.

Self defense products do not have a mind of their own and will only operate to their potential if the person controlling it is using it correctly.  Self defense products are great protection tools but there are things you should take into consideration when utilizing them.

  • Keep in mind that you aren't routinely safe because you are carrying self defense products.  do not underestimate the capability of an attacker because you have a weapon with you.
  • You must have confidence in yourself and how your self defense products work.  You should practice with your device prior to taking it out with you.  Knowing your weapon and how to use it properly is a key component in your defense.
  • Never threaten an attacker with your self defense weapon, if you do you better be prepared to use it.
  • Self defense products can't help you if you don't carry them.  You should always have it readily available at any give time.
  • Consider your personal defense needs prior to purchasing self defense products.  You should only carry one at a time as you don't want to have to decide which to choose when you are in an attack situation.  This will only take time and that you won't have.  Attacks only take a matter of seconds so use your time wisely.

Carrying Lethal or Less-lethal Self Defense Weapons

As time goes on and the crime rate climbs it's crucial that you consider purchasing self defense weapons for your personal protection.  It can prove beneficial to you in the event you come upon a bad situation and need to defend you.

By purchasing self defense weapons I refer to devices as pepper sprays, stun guns or taser guns.  Buying firearms is not necessarily the way to go for personal carry while you are out and about.  While handguns are obviously lethal weapons and one may believe that they can shoot someone on the street, you can't and will most likely face charges by doing such.  If you choose to purchase a handgun then keep it to your home protection only.

Less-lethal self defense weapons are great self defense devices to carry on you while you are outside of your home and should only use a handgun in the most dangerous and violent confrontations.  If somebody breaks into your home, and you have to shoot and injure or kill them, there's a good chance you will not get into trouble.  However, if a criminal attacks you while outside and they are not armed with a lethal weapon, you just can't legally get away with killing them.

Many have survived an attack by using self defense weapons.  They are very affordable, you don't need a permit or license to carry and do the job they are meant to as long as you use it properly.

Self defense weapons will help aid you in your personal protection and not cause permanent harm to anyone, they also won't harm you if the weapon should be taken away from you.  Many trained police personnel have had their firearm taken away from them and used against them and many have died as a result.  Keep this in mind when deciding whether or not to purchase lethal or less-lethal self defense weapons.

Your Personal Defense. Is any better than the other?

What are the best self defense weapons?  There's no single device on the market today that can suit every situation except in my opinion the Taser gun.  But let's talk about other methods right now.  What I can say is that the best self defense devices are those that will effectively protect you from an attacker, easily carried and have simple operation.  What might perform well enough for home protection might not be best suited for personal carry while out in public.

Taking your own personal defense needs into consideration and weighing the pros and cons of each self defense devices will help you in making a good choice.

Firearms are in fact the most powerful in personal defense.  Although guns can cause lethal results.  If you can handle the aftermath of firing a gun on someone and knowing that you can possibly kill them then this would be the weapon of choice for you, however keep in mind by using lethal weapons you may be setting yourself up for a jail sentence.  Utilizing firearms in the home can be the best use of this self defense device.

If you aren't quite sure about using lethal firearms then you should consider the Taser gun.  This self defense device is the ultimate in less-lethal weapons.  They allow you up to 15 feet of distance between you and the attacker, will go through up to 2 inches of clothing and will drop them down immediately.  You won't kill them however you will stop them in their track, at this time you can either run away or tie them up and call the police.

Stunning devices disrupt the person's electrical impulses that send signals from the brain to other parts of the body.  When a person is stunned with a stun gun, the body is temporarily paralyzed as the various muscles are being disrupted.  It confuses the brain and temporarily shuts down.  Because of disruption, the muscles work extremely hard and don't know what they are supposed to be doing.  This depletes the energy from the body thus causing incapacitation on the attacker for a short period of time.  At this time you run.

Stun guns are able to produce voltages ranging from 50,000 to 4.5 million with some being even higher.  They will penetrate through the thickest of clothing.  Stun guns radiate a spark with is very visible.  They also protrude a loud crackling noise that can be intimidating.  Its purchase is to let an attacker see and hear that you have a stun gun.  This will usually be enough to deter an attacker away from you.

Self defense sprays work best for those who practice using them.  You must spray an attacker in the eyes and face in order for them to perform to their potential.  Aim is crucial with this form of self defense.  Practicing with an Inert Practice Spray will help you with your aim.

There are a vast variety of self defense weapons on the market today; they all come in different sizes, styles, strengths and voltage levels.  Keep in mind that stun guns are for close encounter attacks and require physical contact with the attacker.  You will not cause permanent harm to someone by use self defense weapons.

While you may not think you are already equipped with some of the best self defense weapons you are by already carrying ordinary items with you daily.  Your car keys make a great self defense device, hold the point of the key between your fingers and jab the attacker.  If you have a pocket full of change, throw it in the attackers face.  If it's raining ad you have an umbrella in your hand, close it and start hitting, swinging and jabbing.  Yes, purchasing self defense devices is your best bet but if you don't already have one, use your head, what do you already own that's on your person that you can use to defend yourself.

In the end it's all about personal choice when choosing self defense weapons.  Take the time to look at all your options before purchasing.  Always remember if you don't carry your weapon it can't help you.
