Seniors can be Easy Targets and need Personal Protection Tools

The individuals who are targeted most frequently other than women is the senior citizen community.  The criminals are looking for what they believe to be easy targets, therefore choosing the elderly folks.  For this reason it's very important they pay close attention to their surroundings and read up on helpful safety tips.

Exuding confidence in yourself can be one of the best tips you will receive.  Criminals seek out individuals who appear weak and timid thus in the criminal mind being an easier target.  By having confidence they are less likely to take you into consideration for an assault.  When you walk with your head held high and appear as if you have a purpose the criminal usually stays away.  If you need to go out somewhere, if at all possible bring along a friend or two.  Crowds are not something a predator wants to take on.

When parking your vehicle try to park as close to the entrance as possible, keep your car away from heavily scrubbed areas and dark spots.  Robbers are lurking in un-lit areas where there are not too many people.  If you must have your purse with you and if it's possible to place it around your neck rather than holding in your hand or on your arm will make it more difficult for the criminal to take, however caution must be taken as you can get injured by them yanking it when it's around your neck.  Purse snatching is very common, and the thief will do what he/she can to get what they want.  Try not to have many packages that will absorb both hands when carrying to your car.  Always have your  keys in your hand and ready to unlock the car door.

What would you do if you were approached while in public?  Depending on which way you react can be the difference between becoming a victim and avoiding the situation entirely.  Getting help can detour the assailant from you.  Safety comes with numbers so if you can possibly get help to you within the area by yelling call 911, making a scene, let him know you aren't going to sit idle, these actions will probably make the criminal go on his way.  He's not going to want to have an audience.

Carrying a cell phone is also very important.  Make sure it's always charged, easily attainable and with you.  We all know that calling 911 you may not get the necessary assistance you may require right away so consider carrying Personal Alarms.  These devices can help make noise to draw attention your way.  Many senior citizens also carry self defense spray.  It would be wise to have both with you as making noise is important and being able to take down the attacker with the pepper spray will allow you to get to safety.

Senior citizens should really consider all options in their personal protection.  It's a bad world out there so purchase you and your loved ones personal alarms and self defense spray so you can help you stay safe.

Real Estate Professionals should Carry Self Defense Devices

If you work in the Real Estate Industry you need to purchase self defense devices as soon as possible.  Do you realize that you are one of the top profession risks in today's society?

It's no wonder you are at a high risk.  Think about it, you are dealing with strangers on a daily basis.  Taking these people into homes, condos, rentals, businesses alone and unarmed is very dangerous.

For the most part the many people you are dealing with are good citizens and there isn't any harm about to come your way, however there are some out there who pretend to be someone looking for their ideal spot and are only there to get you alone somewhere to attack.  This is a simple way for the common criminal to get what he/she wants.  This profession makes it easy.

If for any reason while meeting an individual to do business with, you feel something isn't quite right, it isn't right, trust your instincts and never second guess yourself.  Excuse yourself from this situation however you can, do not take them out alone.  Always let someone know where you are going, whether it is an associate, your boss, your friends, your family members.  Checking in with any of these trusted people and having them do the same is simply smart.

Never walk in front of your clients, always follow behind them when showing properties.  Stay near doorway entrances so you have an easy out if necessary.  There's no reason for you to get in front of them and allow yourself to be trapped inside.

Always carry self defense devices with you on your person and in your vehicle.  With the many varieties available today you have a number of choices to pick from.  Self defense sprays are amongst the most popular and can defend you sufficiently.  These defense tools are compact, easily carried without drawing attention, affordable and easy to operate.

Other great self defense device options you should consider are personal alarms, stun guns and taser guns.  All these tools are designed to help aid you in prevention and if used properly will do as they are meant to.

None of these self defense weapons can help you if you choose not to carry them.  Always have yourself in ready mode; you will never know when you will need it most.

Self Defense Products are Important in your Protection

Many without realizing show a reactive response to self defense rather than taking a pro-active method of response.  One needs to become more aware of their safety and surroundings.  Why would anyone want to wait until after an attack to become pro-active in their self defense?  With the many self defense products on the market today there isn't any reason why one should wait, rather you should be preparing in the event you are approached.  In today's world of increasing criminal activities it's vital you prepare instead of allowing something to happen to you.

Self defense products are a smart choice in weaponry carry.  They are less-lethal meaning you won't permanently harm anyone and will help aid you in your defense against attacks.  Women especially are at higher risks of being attacked than men, which is a good reason for women to become familiar and purchase the self defense products available to them today.

Carrying self defense products that are easily concealable and easy to carry should be a common practice anytime you leave your home.  These devices can protect you from a potential attacker.

Children and Elderly deserve to be Protected too

For elderly adults and smaller school aged children, we  recommend carrying a personal alarm.  Many people disregard personal alarms as a defense device however, these compact devices are meant to be heard.  No they can't serve as a defense tool as pepper spray or stun guns but by sounding the alarm may be enough to deter an attacker.

Younger children need protection too.  There are many children who need to stand at school bus stops while parents need to go to work.  Criminals are watching as children are standing to wait for the bus. Some children are waiting on their own at bus stoops.  This is an attackers dream.

Personal Alarms are perfect devices for children.  They cannot be harmed by using it. The Key Chain Alarm is highly recommended for children, they can actually carry their house keys with them and the alarm will be handy at all times. It's simple operation as easy as pulling the small pin is all it takes to operate.  It's very loud and easily carried.  Best of all it's only $9.99 and well worth the money!

Depending on the physical condition of an elderly person, some forms of self defense weapons might not be an option for them to carry. The personal alarm is also great tool for older individuals.  We also suggest pepper sprays as they too are easy to operate, compact as well and can be carried at all times.

Defense tools aren't just for the 18 to 55 year old, everyone should be able to carry some type of self defense weapons to help aid them in defense if needed.  Everyone should have a fair chance in staying safe and the Key Chain Alarm is one method that can help younger children as well as the elderly.

Our children, parents and grand parents are worth spending $9.99 on don't you think?  Don't take chances on their lives.  Buy a Key Chain Alarm for your loved ones today.

Car Keys at Beside Act as an Alarm!

One of the best self defense devices you unknowingly carry on a daily basis is your car keys.  Most vehicles today come equipped with a keypad which locks and unlocks your car and also has an alarm on it.  If you have nothing else at your bedside this is the item to keep near you while you sleep.

By pressing the panic button on your car keypad you can sound the alarm on your car therefore scaring off someone who may be trying to enter your home.  The alarm should continue to sound until you turn it off or the vehicle battery dies.

This is a great self defense device that many do not think of using and can help deter a possible threat to your home.

This tip was given by a neighborhood watch coordinator.   Next time you are ready for a good nights sleep bring your key chain to bed.

If you are skeptical test it.  It should sound from anywhere inside your home and will keep sounding until you shut it off or the battery dies.  It performs while your car is parked in your driveway or garage.  When the alarm sounds the criminal most likely will leave the scene as they surely don't want to be caught.

Your neighbors will most likely hear the alarm and checking at their window checking to see what's going on.  The criminal won't want any attention.   Carrying your keys in your hand while walking to and from your vehicle can also provide you the added self protection if needed.

So all in all if you aren't one who wants to purchase self defense devices at least use your keys as a tool to defend yourself if you should be a potential target.

Defending You

In this ever changing world it has become very unstable and many, many people are at a high risk of becoming a victim of a violent crime.  Having the proper state off mind along with awareness and self defense products can give you a serious edge in defending oneself.

When approached in a bad situation it is recommended to avoid the confrontation however this isn't always possible.  By talking to the attacker in a calm manner, and using confident body signals and showing you aren't afraid or in fear can possibly get you out of the potential attack.

If you are in possession of a personal alarm, sound it immediately.  The sound of the alarm may deter the attacker from coming at you while others are in the immediate area.  This may not help you if you are in an isolated area.  When carrying a personal alarm make sure you carry it on your belt or in your pocket.  Leaving it inaccessible isn't going to help you.

If you aren't carrying an alarm or whistle start yelling, screaming, make a scene.  You may want to shout out CALL THE POLICE!  If you can protrude this loud enough it can be as sufficient as having a personal alarm.  Utilizing both your voice and an alarm is even better if possible.

You must try to stay calm.  By creating panic in yourself it will render you useless and totally helpless when you need to be strongest.  If you can manage to stay in control, you can stay one step ahead of your attacker.

If you find yourself having to physically fight the attacker your target should be the criminal's eyes, mouth, throat, groin, knees, ears and shins.  In order for your chances to increase in surviving this attack you should concentrate on any of these areas on the attacker.

If you are approached from behind do not plunge yourself forward, this will tire you quickly.  Try throwing yourself backwards into the attacker, this will most likely surprise him or her and give you a chance to run away.  Stomping on their foot or lower leg is a good idea and may allow you to escape.

We all have the right to defend ourselves with rational force.  This means using anything you may have on you as an umbrella, pocketbook, briefcase, cane and even your car keys.  If you manage to take down your attacker utilizing any of these items get away immediately, don't hang around this may only put you in more danger.

All in all, try to stay calm, use physical force if need be, don't ever give in to the attacker and you should purchase yourself a personal alarm, pepper spray or stun device.  having this added self protection and knowing how to use it properly can only help you in an attack situation.

Becoming more aware of your Surroundings

Being aware that you could potentially be attacked is part of creating your personal security awareness.  It is greater than accepting the fact that you need to take a pro-active action.   In creating your personal security acceptance you need to develop the knowledge and consideration about your environment.  It is an insight of when and how you will be prepared to defend yourself, meaning whether you choose a self defense spray, stun guns, TASER or martial arts moves.

Focus is the main awareness factor.  Focusing is a portion of our daily routines; we tend to do this on whatever is in the moment.  In creating personal security awareness we need to learn when we should pay closer attention to a possible situation.  The issue at hand is we live in an increasingly hazardous atmosphere, which provides more susceptibility to criminal attacks on the street.

In development on personal security awareness we need to pay closer attention and mind focus on our personal security when we may be susceptible to vulnerability.  This is common when we are out doing things on our own, jogging, shopping, walking.  In these situations we are isolated from those around us.  By training you to contemplate your security when alone and exude more awareness of your surroundings.  Is there a threat nearby?

An example of this is while walking to your vehicle after a day of shopping you should be focusing on what are around you not your packages, fumbling for your keys or talking on the phone.  Is there a potential threat?  Is anyone behind you? Stay focused turn and look.  Are people near your car?  All these questions are potential risks to you that you should be conscious of.

Many of us have been accustomed to stay to yourself, mind your business.  We tend to not make eye contact with others it’s not polite to stare.  This is exactly what you should be doing.  Check all around you, look directly at others, notice the clothing they are wearing, are they walking in the same direction as you, are there more than one, and are you a possible target?

Many attacks are brought on by surprise to the victims.  This is partly due to not having security awareness about your surroundings.  The victims of these horrible crimes will usually say that the criminal came out of nowhere, well not true, they came from somewhere.  You just weren’t being aware of your surroundings.  This is crucial in self protection.  Train your mind on providing yourself personal security awareness!

This can mean the difference in staying safe or becoming someone’s next victim.

Self Defense Devices can save your Life!

In 2009 alone in the USA it is on record that 88,097 crimes committed were of forcible rape.  Aggravated assault came in at 806,843.  This is just reports of these two types of crime.  Does this tell you something?  These numbers are of staggering magnitude and you should be concerned for you and your loved ones safety.

There isn’t any reason why you shouldn’t purchase you and your family members a self defense device for your personal safety.  Now more than ever as in today’s world criminals are running rampant.  There are many different forms of self defense weapons, all of which are less-lethal, very affordable and do the job they are meant to do.  Take action, get prepared and carry a self defense device.  It’ll be the best purchase decision you could ever make.

The most common self defense weapon on the market today is pepper sprays.  It is highly used by law enforcement personnel as well as very popular with women.  Its success rate is well documented and has been used for many years as a valuable means of self protection.

Other forms of self defense weapons are stun guns and TASER.  Don’t be confused with both functions of these two weapons.  The TASER uses an electrical current which is shot from the gun through two probes.  These two probes will go through up to two inches of clothing.  The TASER will allow afford you up to fifteen feet of distance between you and an attacker.  This form of self defense device is the ultimate however it can be expensive and not fit everyone’s financial situation.

Stun guns on the other hand also give an electrical current through the probes on the gun; however you will need to have physical contact with your attacker in order for it to work.  If this is your choice of self defense device you have chosen another great form of self protection.  Remember, with a stun gun the longer you can hold it on the person the better it will work to take them down.

No matter which self defense devices you choose they are all effective.  Choosing a self defense weapon is a personal choice, you need to find one that’s right for you.  Everyone is different and has separate needs.

Don’t let yourself become the next victim on the common criminal’s list of whose next.  Take the necessary steps in self protection, your odds of surviving will dramatically increase, after it’s all said and done you’ll be glad you purchased your weapon.

Don't under estimate the Importance of Self Defense Products

Are you aware that every year in the United States there are over 1,300,000 violent crimes reported?

According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) these numbers are calculated only on those incidences that have been report.  Never mind all the crimes that haven’t been.  Many end up as one of the nearly 15,000 victims of murder reported each year.

This isn’t a scare tactic or a way of making you paranoid.  In the end we just want to provide you the safety measures so you can possibly prevent this happening to you or a loved one.
There’s no need to be afraid, you just need to react.  Do something about it before something happens to you or your family members.

Unfortunately in this society we can’t count on the police to be everywhere at once.  They are running thin; we must take actions into our own hands.  We must protect ourselves.
Criminals aren’t on a set schedule, they don’t care where, when or what time it is. They aren’t going to wait until a police cruiser happens by, they will attack once they’re gone.

The worst part of it is the police will usually only know about the crime after the fact.  The crime has already been committed against you and if you are one of the lucky ones to live and tell about it then maybe just maybe they can try to do something about it.

We are the first line of defense.  That’s right, me and you.

Lawmakers out there today are trying to stop us law abiding citizens from carrying a personal self defense weapon.  Some states already have laws in effect that prevents the carry and use of these less-lethal weapons.

If you are one of those individuals who live in an area where you aren’t legally able to carry self defense weapons for your personal protection, then we can only hope and pray you never come face to face with someone who wants to hurt you.  You should consider purchasing a Personal Alarm for yourself or someone you care about.  At least you will be able to draw attention to a bad situation with this device.

If these self defense products are legal where you live, then we suggest you don't wait for the laws to change before you decide it is time to purchase personal protection.

The Less-Lethal Self Defense Weapons and Security Products on our website are the best way for you to feel confident you can protect yourself and your family without causing permanent harm.

Of course, the best self defense weapon is to avoid dangerous situations in the first place which we all try to do, however in this world it’ll find you at one time or another.  Even staying at home, violent crimes can still find your way, burglaries, home invasions, spousal abuse and more.  These crimes are all real and happen to many daily.  Take the necessary steps to protect you and your family today.  You’ll be glad you did.

In the few moments it takes to read this article, at least four people have become victims of a crime somewhere in this country. It's shocking, I know... but this is the world we live in.

Are You Prepared To Defend Yourself And Your Family?

At this time, you have a very important decision to make... you can leave our website, go about your day, and pray you never come against someone who wants to hurt you... Or you can stay here and purchase the self defense weapons that will help keep you and your family safe.

It’s your choice.  We hope you make the right decision.

Women and Traveling

For the avid women whose career requires traveling frequently and staying away from home you need beware.  There are many criminals who seek out women just like you.  Staying at hotels, motels alone can be dangerous for women traveling alone or business women who frequent different hotels.

Never open your hotel room door when someone knocks on it.  Just because you hear a knock doesn’t mean you need to open the door.   You can always ask what they want.  If you are staying at a facility that affords leaving instructions at the front desk that all deliveries you may receive be left with them is your smartest choice.

Keep your conversation short and sweet with strangers you may meet in the lobby. This can be a potential predator hang out, seeking his next victim.

If your attendance is required at a convention and you need to wear a name badge, keep it within the confines of the convention area, there’s no reason for you to be wearing your name throughout the hotel advertising who you are and where you are staying.

Need to get out of the room for an alcoholic drink to end a stressful day?  If you venture down to the hotel lounge, make sure you watch the bartender mixing your drink.  Don’t leave your drink unattended at anytime.

While your job may require you to travel and stay at hotels, you should consider carrying self defense products as a personal alarm.  Always pay attention to your surroundings, make yourself appear as confident as you can and stay alert.   If traveling by air personal alarms can be carried on the plane (airports won't confiscate them).

These defense devices are meant to be heard and should be carried on you at all times.  However, don’t be mistaken these devices will not protect you, only draw attention to the situation at hand and hopefully deter an attacker.

Bringing along Home Alarms is also a great idea.  Many of these alarms are small and can be easily packed in your suitcase.  You can place them on the door of your room and windows if the environment you are staying in deems it necessary.

Personal and Home Alarms are a smart traveling companion.  Purchase some today.
