Mace Pepper Gun - None like it

Do you want a self defense spray that is not only very effective but gives you plenty of distance between you and an attacker?  If you are looking for a long range protection device then we suggest you purchase the Mace Pepper Gun.

Mace Pepper Spray Gun
This self defense device is a great choice especially for women in self protection.  This defense spray gives you up to 25 feet of distance.  It sprays like an aerosol in that it's continuous and even if you are lying on your back continues to spray in an upwards manner.  The Mace Pepper Gun also sprays at 185 mph with no fear of blow back.  This sets it apart from any other self defense spray on the market today.  As long as you aim for the eyes and face, you can succeed at disorienting the attacker.

The Mace Pepper Gun utilizes replaceable cartridges that hold a 10% concentration of OC.  The cartridges allow you up to seven 25-foot blasts.  It comes with a test cartridge filled only with water allowing you to practice.  You may want to purchase more water cartridges to practice with until you feel comfortable with your ability to use the gun.  It also comes with a LED light to help you with aim.  It is wise to carry a back up OC cartridge with you at all times.

There is none like it on the market today and the Mace Pepper Spray Gun will provide you with superb protection in your defense.  Carry it with you at all times.

Are You Defenseless without a Firearm?

This article written by Rick Saxby of FightingPhilosophy.com speaks of the issues related to carrying handguns and having folding knives as a back-up self defense device.  There are many talks about the government banning civilians from carrying and the possibility of them coming into your home and confiscating your self defense weapons.

Most of the people I know who have a carry permit for their pistol also carry a folding knife as a backup self defense weapon.  These friends of mine go to the shooting range or in their backyards quite often to practice shooting targets but none of them practice with their folding knives that they carry.  I think this is quite typical for America at large.

In this article, I go over a few of the reasons I think this mentality is wrong and it's just as important to practice with your folding knife as it is your pistol.

There is a question I hear a lot from people asking who have recently been issued a carry permit; "What do I do when I can't carry my pistol somewhere?"  The common answer for this question by civilians who have had carry permits for sometime is, "Carrying is a lifestyle and I make a habit of avoiding places like that."  This is a horrible answer.  It's not a solution and is someones pretend world where carrying a gun wherever they go because they have made some kind of a habit.  Here are a few places where civilians are not allowed to carry a firearm:
  1. Workplace:  Most companies forbid their employees to carry firearms on the job
  2. Courtrooms (Jury Duty), post office, DMV and other government establishments
  3. Any commercial airline travel
  4. Colleges and all sporting events that take place on campus
  5. High Schools and all sporting events that take place on campus
I think that most everyone with a sliver of common sense knows that most shooting sprees happen in places like these.  But those same people just pretend they can avoid these places.  In reality, for most of the civilian population in this country, this is not possible.  If all you have is firearms training then when you enter these places, where most of the mass shootings in our country take place, you are putting down you only line of real self defense

You don't have to be defenseless if you take the time to train with your knife.  There are studies that have shown that a person armed with a weapon such as a knife can travel the distance of about  yards in 2 seconds.  If you train with it, you can get even faster.  I'm not advising anyone to bring a knife to a gun fight but at the same time you should never underestimate what someone can do with a knife, especially if that person has intent and training.

Here are some facts for the female audience (or parents who have daughters).  Women who are between the ages of 16 and 19 are more likely than anyone in this country to be the victim of a violent crime with women ages 20-24 in at a close second.  In the case of rape, half of all victims are under 18.  A third of all rapes that occur happen to women between the ages of 12-17.  It just seems odd to me that our country is more concerned about grown men protecting themselves than the segment of the country that is statistically more likely to be violently attacked, raped or abducted.  (You have to be 21 or over to obtain a carry permit in any state).

Remember there are a lot of politicians out there dedicated to disarming the American public.

Rep. William L. Clay (D-St. Louis, MO), said the Brady Bill is "The minimum step" that Congress should take to control handguns.  "We need much stricter gun control, and eventually we should bar the ownership of handguns except in a few cases".

Senator Dianne Feinsteine Democrat-California; Interview with 60 Minutes (1995) "If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an outright ban picking up everyone of them (firearms), Mr. and Mrs. America turn them all in, I would have done it".

The real tragedy of it all is the fact that every time there is another shooting spree in this country, we come on step closer to the disarmament of the American people.  There is absolutely nothing anyone can do to stop these shooting rampages from happening.  They are just the byproducts of a society that has become almost completely morally bankrupt.

The United States economy will soon be surpassed by China's in real terms by 2016.  That is, if the IMF's latest forecasts are correct.  The sad part is we are so in debt to this massive communist superpower that they are actually starting to strongly influence our economic policies.  Don't forget that China forbids any of its own civilians to own a firearm.

Maybe we will get lucky and our biggest creditor, who at any time can stop loaning us money and our whole society comes to a screeching halt, won't care if all their debtors are armed.  However it looks like they really don't have to worry about it because our own government is taking care of the problem.  Don't think so?  Remember Katrina?  I know these victims of gun confiscation in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina have something to say:

  • Buell Teel - "Automatic rifles pointed at you, you don't have any choice...They didn't care what your rights were; they were going to deny them.  It's not America as we've known it before; it's changing"
  • Robert Zas - "Heed the warning of what this was, it's like Australia.  All of sudden, boom, they've got our rights."
  • Richard Styron - "They took 'em, and they didn't have a right to take 'em, they didn't even have a reason to take 'em."
  • Wayne Schum - "We are living proof that all they have to do is say, 'look-this is the law'."
So what exactly would be your response if a bunch of policemen had M16's pointed at you and your family, safety off and one in the chamber?  Seriously, when the police come for your guns all the tough talk stops and you hand them over.  I sincerely hope this never happens to anyone, but in the world we live in it is a very strong possibility.

What I'm getting at is anyone who believes in practical self defense training should incorporate knife and club training into their firearms routine.  this is not a guarantee to save you and your family from all harm but nothing is and it is far better than firearms training by itself.  Rest assured that for self defense purposes, a good pair of combat boots, a great folding knife, bulletproof vest and a billy club can work wonders if you keep a low profile.

Conversation about Self Defense Weapons

Last night I was out with a few friends of mine and the subject of self defense weapons came up.  As owner of PersonalProtectionandMore.com I of course talk about this subject most often as I have a real passion for the defense products I sell.  I truly believe that all, especially women should carry self defense weapons whether it be pepper spray, stun guns or a Taser as these are the top devices for self protection.

So in our conversation I was speaking about how I want to expand my resources and start selling my products at home parties.  One of my friends made the statement that you would have to market to groups who live in not so good of an area.  This baffled me.

This is a major concern as people truly do believe that if they live in a more desirable area that they are exempt from becoming a victim of a violent crime.  This couldn't be farther from the truth.  This group of people need to keep in mind that while they may live in a more desirable area they do venture out of their homes on a daily basis.  People go to work, the store, park in parking lots, go to the bank, shopping malls and where ever they may venture out to.  Should these people now believe that they are exempt from getting attacked?  Absolutely not.

In 2007 a very well liked family who lived in beautiful Cheshire, CT were victims of a violent home invasion that ended in a wife and two daughters who were slaughtered, raped and then burned to death.  The criminals thankfully have been convicted to death sentences and awaiting so in jail.  Although I am one who believes that those who take a life should die the same way they took the life of their victims. If you would like to read one of the many articles on this click HERE.

Now let me tell you how this all started.  I'll give you the short version however you'll be able to picture the story regardless.  The wife had left her home with her two daughters, driving her upscale vehicle to what I believe was a store.  The two attackers saw her in her beautiful car and decided to follow her home.  Is anyone getting the picture here?

The husband who was not home at the time eventually arrived home, as the family members who were captured in their own home were gagged and tied somewhere in the house at the time, the husband was then beaten to a pulp, tied up and left to die.  This went on for hours.  Fortunately at some point, the husband was able to escape and reach a neighbor.

This man has had to endure years of testimonies, going through two separate trials and live the dramatic, horrific things these two men did to his family over and over again for years.  This was a devastating violent crime.

Now does this true story make you feel any different about self defense?  It should.  No one is exempt here, crimes happen and you could in fact be someones next victim.

The one thing anyone shouldn't take for granted is their personal safety.  Everyone needs to pay close attention to their surroundings at all times.  Purchasing you and your loved ones self defense weapons can dramatically increase their survival rate of becoming a victim.

Overcome Fear when it comes to Defending You

We all have fear in us whether or not anyone wants to admit it.  It’s a very natural response to us being threatened.  By giving into this normal response it can cause us to freeze while in a bad situation.  This is something we just can’t afford to let happen while being attacked.

It doesn’t matter if you are the best fit person or the least fit person; we all have it and need to put this emotion in perspective in order for us to overcome it.  Is this something that we can be trained in?  Absolutely, we can focus our minds on other important factors.   In order to react sufficiently we only have a matter of seconds.  What are some of the things we can do to help us get through the fear factor?

You need to look at this as survival.  Focusing on whatever it takes to survive can put your mind in the right state.  Thinking about what you can do to get through a horrible situation is what matters in self defense.  Don’t let your mind wonder, concentrate on the survival factor.  You need to keep yourself right where you are during an attack.  Letting your assailant move you to another location allow them a serious advantage on you.

Instead of letting your fear get in the way, let it become rage, how dear you try to take me, you aren’t taking me I won’t let you.  You have the strength and courage to do this.  Let it happen.

Don’t worry about you being hurt; chances are you will come out of this with some bruised or broken bones, cuts or even a gunshot wound.  By allowing yourself to worry about this prior to the attack you will take time away from your response.  There’s a good chance you will be hurt in some way, however it’s better to be hurt and alive than dead.

By using mental training on your mind you can eliminate apprehension and doubt.  Prepare by doing practices on how you will react to an oncoming attacker.  Knowing how and what to do can only help you.  Discuss methods with family and friends, maybe they will think about other resources that you may not.  The next step in self defense is to see you in a similar situation you have talked about and respond to it.  Do this many times until you feel confident that you can overcome the fear.

Carrying self defense products is also something to consider.  Again, you will need to be comfortable knowing that if you use this weapon on someone you will hurt them.  Can you effectively do this?  You have to allow you to defend you or you may never make it through.

Hesitation is not an option when it comes to self defense.

Women and Self Protection

As women you should take priority in Self defense and self protection for yourself.   Women are mostly violated by rape crimes with assaults coming in at second place.  These crimes are usually perpetrated by men by whom most women know.  Men perform these crimes not because they want sex but because of the feeling of governance over any one person it gives them.

Assault on women is commonly done due to men believing women cannot fight back, they are weak and don’t have it in them to take care of themselves.  You can prevent these types of crimes against you by preventing it from happening in the first place.  Avoidance of badly lit areas and being alone can help.  However, this sometimes is just not enough and situations will find you regardless.

According to the Bureau of Justice most rapes are committed in your own home.  Forty percent, staggering statistics isn’t it?   In the event that you cannot prevent a possible rape against you, the best chance of you surviving is to fight back.  Fighting back is not only necessary in your chances of making it through; it’s your right to protect one’s self.

Personal self defense is crucial especially being a woman as the statistics show that women are excellent candidates of becoming a victim of a violent crime in their life.  Statistics show that a 21 year old woman has a 25% chance of suffering violent crime in her life.  Don’t be afraid of self dense, it’s your right to defend for survival.  It’s the most important decision she can make.

Women who try to fend themselves from becoming victims by utilizing the system are at greater risk of becoming a victim or even murdered.  These targeted women may be filing charges, getting restraining order or even in hiding.  These women may still end up dead. There attacker is someone they know and may not stop until you are just that.  Avoiding any violent attack is better that attempting to survive one.

There are many different crimes that women are mostly at risk of.  Domestic violence, rape, purse snatching, being stalked, there are thousands who are experiencing these types of crimes daily.  Women need to stand tall and realize that they don’t have to give up, surrender to it or endure it. What you may not realize is you have up to the very last second to take control and do something to empower the situation, this can dramatically affect the outcome of your situation.

By preventing and making sure you are limiting yourself from becoming a part of a bad situation which may lead to an attack is crucial.  Of course this isn’t always going to be a perfect measure of effectiveness and you may have the need to defend against an attack.

Women have a great sense of intuition and should always rely on it.  If you believe you are approaching a bad situation, if your brain clearly thinks something isn’t quite right, don’t doubt yourself, believe it and get out immediately.  You also need to put your thinking power in a self defense mode,  believe in yourself, do what it takes to keep yourself safe, you need to form the right staying-alive attitude.

Utilizing self defense weapons can help you in prevention of a possible attacker.  If you are thinking of purchasing personal alarms or a whistle remember they are not an effective way to prevent an attack.  These items are good at drawing attention to the situation at hand, however they cannot be used as a sufficient means of protection.  You are also taking into chance that if you use these alarms solely you are taking a gamble on the hope that not only someone will hear it, but that someone will take the chance of helping you.

Stun guns are a handheld defense device and are battery-operated.  These devices send an electric shock into an attacker.  You will need to have physical contact with the attacker in order to use a stun gun.

TASER guns send metal barbs over a distance to attach themselves to an assailant; they are attached to the hand-held device through wires, which are electrified to immobilize an assailant at a distance of up to fifteen feet.  These two self defense devices are very effective at stopping assailants dead in their tracks.  It is the advice that women who may be interested in purchasing these devices you may want to speak with your local police department on whether or not it is legal in your area.

Pepper sprays are the most common method of self defense device for women.  Pepper spray is exceptionally effective because it doesn’t depend solely on the infliction of pain to immobilize an assailant.  Pepper sprays cause an assailant to be temporarily blinded and have a lot of coughing and choking.  For the women who are thinking of purchasing pepper spray for self defense, remember to purchase pepper spray that has Scoville Heat Units of between one and two million, this is the most effective spray for self defense.

No matter which method of selfdefense devices you choose it’s very important that you carry it on you at all times.  Make it a part of your normal daily routine to have it with you, place your self defense weapon with your car keys so you remember to carry it.

Self defense devices won’t help you if you don’t carry it.

A Smart decision can save your life

Self-defense products have been on the market for a long time now. These wonder devices have a very successful track record in self protection against attacks. Law enforcement agencies have been utilizing weapons as pepper sprays, stun guns, batons and personal alarms for decades.

Self defense weapons have only been available to the civilian community the last couple of decades. Manufacturer’s such as TASER®, Mace and Stun Master have truly recognized the need for self defense devices and have performed successfully not only in providing these devices but in providing consumers with superior products.

Many are now convinced that carrying a self defense weapon for personal protection is a smart decision in taking measures of personal safety, mostly due to the evidence these companies have shown that these products do in fact work.

Crime is here, it’s not going to go away nor dwindle. The statistics show that the percentages of crime are climbing. It’s time to take matters into your own hands and purchase you and a loved one a self defense product. The need is here and isn’t going away; it’s only getting worse out there. Don’t overlook the importance of carrying a protection device.

Taking that first step in self protection, making the decision to purchase yourself a self defense weapon is wise. The Element of Surprise in a Stun Gun

When looking to purchase a stun device you should seriously consider the Cell Phone Stun gun. What’s unique with this particular tool is that it’s not just an ordinary looking gun; it’s designed to look just like a normal cell phone. They also come with high voltage level and are an awesome self defense device.

Stun guns are less lethal and will provide you the necessary protection against an attacker. This tool along with any stun gun will not harm you or your possible assailant in any way. The cell phone stun gun can be carried in your hand openly without the detection of you having a weapon on your person. This is the greatest feature of a self defense weapon as you want your attacker to be surprised, they won’t be given the chance!
The cell phone stun gun weighs in at less than a pound and provides voltage levels up to 4.5 Million Volts. That’s a lot of punch to disable your attacker momentarily so you can get to safety.

The cell phone stun gun is one of the best options in a self defense weapon due to the surprise factor. You can wear them on your belt or carry in your purse, operation is as simple as pushing a button. A criminal will not see it coming as he or she will believe you are trying to use your normal cell phone to call for help.

While utilizing a stun gun keep in mind that you have to physically press the device against the body of the attacker. If the stun gun is not held against the body long enough they may not be effective and also if an attacker is under the influence of heavy narcotics or drugs they may lose their ability to take them down.

When using any stun guns a possible attacker usually knows what to look for. Having a stun device that appears as a cell phone you will fool the attacker therefore giving an element of surprise to them which will allow you to use your device quicker and effectively.

Preparation is a key component in self defense. Get your protection today.

Less-lethal Self Defense Weapons Versus Lethal Weaponry

Using Less-lethal self defense weapons is much easier to handle and doesn’t necessitate any form of professional training prior to use. Less-lethal self defense weapons are a very affordable option versus using say a handgun. Handguns are much more expensive, require training, licensure and are a very lethal means of self protection.

Prior to considering which form of self defense weapon you want to carry, check with your local and state laws to see which self defense weapons are allowed in your state. If you do choose to carry a firearm, the licensing process is very lengthy and costly and you will forego an investigation.

Less-lethal self defense weapons other than the TASER® do not require any formal investigations, are less costly and will provide you and your loved ones with much needed protection without possibly doing deadly harm to anyone. As with any form of protection devices whether it is a pepper spray, stun gun, TASER® or handgun, it is suggested that you carry out practices hitting your object. In the event you should have to use your weapon, you want to ensure you will know how to use it prior to a potential situation.

TASER® devices do require you to have a background check. If you are considering purchasing one make sure you are capable of passing this background check as the TASER® device will not turn on until you go through the process. It usually can be done by calling TASER® International or by going on their website. You should be able to have your device working within a half hour.

Self defense weapons should be used with caution and great care. Take into consideration that while carrying your self defense weapon pay close attention as the weapon can be taken and used against you.
