Over the past few years it has become a necessity to carry self defense weapons as the statistics on home and personal crimes keeps climbing. This in itself has made me a believer in looking out for myself and my loved ones more than ever. I don’t know about you but I work hard to earn my dollars and I’m not going to let anyone come into my home or on my person and take my valuables that I have worked so hard to get so I decided to carry a Taser® for protection.
The problem I see with many individuals through conversations is they go on about their daily lives thinking “it won’t happen to me”. So what happens if and when it does come your way? You will not be prepared for the fight. For an example; remember the news on the 90 year old woman who was beaten to death, she was approached by a young woman who asked her for a ride, and then the young woman’s boyfriend forced his way into the vehicle. Not only did they steel whatever this poor 90 year old had, they took her to a wooded area and beat her to death.
I know you are thinking, well that was a 90 year old woman, how would you expect her to protect herself? Age is not the issue here. If this woman had only had a pepper spray or Taser C2 readily available when she was first approached and used her self defense weapon on these two criminals, maybe, she would still be here to tell her tale. Her odds of survival would have increased dramatically if she had been carrying.
Number one lesson learned here; never as nice as you may want to be to someone, take a stranger into your vehicle, home or anywhere. I’m sure in this 90 year olds vision she was thinking in terms of the olden days when maybe you could do such a thing. Not today folks.
The only questions you should be asking yourself is what type of self defense weapons should I carry and what style is best for me and where can I buy one, not whether you should carry. The old saying goes, never say never; it’s a great possibility that you could become someone’s next victim. The best thing you can do for yourself and your loved ones is prepare. Carrying a personal alarm which will draw attention to your direction if needed, pepper spray and/or a stun gun or Taser® will help you in defense against attack.
It’s no secret that many are being raped, robbed, carjacked, murdered, sexually and mentally abused by criminals, spouses, boyfriends girlfriends don’t let this happen to you. Sadly as you are reading this article someone somewhere in this country is being raped, robbed, sexually assaulted, another is suffering serious violence and possibly murdered.
Times are rough for many today with unemployment and the ever increasing costs, with this comes increased criminal activity.
By preparing yourself for the worst you are taking the necessary steps in self defense. If you never use your self defense weapon, and hopefully you never will, it will still be the smartest purchase choice you could have ever made.
