Stun guns and Pepper sprays

When purchasing self defense weapons you should do your homework on all the possible defense tools that are available today.  Making sure that you are purchasing the right one for you is very important.

Pepper sprays are a wonderful choice in self defense devices.  The Mace Pepper gun is by far in my opinion the best option on the market today.  This self defense weapon looks like a handgun and has to be loaded with pepper spray barrels in order for it to function.  It has a bright light beam you can shine on your attacker to help with aim and will shoot the pepper spray at 185mph with no fear of blow back.

The two next best forms of pepper spray are the Gel Spray and 18% Wildfire pepper spray.  If you spray someone with the Gel spray it sticks to the assailant like glue and once touched it spreads over the face and hands even more.  Superb!  The 18% Wildfire pepper spray gives you a higher rate of pepper and shoots much further.  Both these options in self defense weapons are great choices.

Stun guns of course utilize an entirely different technology in that the use of electrical charges pass through to the attacker once stunned.  These defense devices are made for close contact only and must be held on the assailant for at least 3 to 5 seconds for them to truly work their magic.  The longer you can hold the stun gun on someone the better it will perform.

Both methods of protection are less-lethal self defense weapons.  The primary goal of their use is to avoid a horrible situation and to escape to safety.  All states have different laws pertaining to self defense weapons so prior to purchasing make sure your local and state allow the carry and use of these self defense weapons.

Self defense sprays are extremely beneficial when sprayed directly to the facial area of your attacker.  By doing so the pepper spray will cause severe eye irritation, tearing, possibly temporary blindness and burning sensations to the skin.  The attacker will also experience trouble  breathing as the pepper spray causes puffiness of the airway.

Stun guns immobilize an attacker with the utilization of electrical power that disrupts the normal function of the neuromuscular system.  This interruption renders the opponent unable to produce voluntary movement for a short period of time.

Either way both self defense weapons are sufficient means of personal protection.  They will both perform as they are meant to as long as they are used properly and with caution.
