Why should you carry Self Defense Weapons?

Have you truly thought about your personal safety?  If you are one of those people who haven't yet taken the necessary steps in self protection then you should seriously consider it.  In today's world where the criminal population is outgrowing the police departments it's become a necessity to take control of your own defense systems.  The police can't be everywhere at once, most times they arrive once the crime has already been committed.  You can prevent this from happening to you.

It baffles me that many don't give it a second thought when it comes to their personal safety.  People are becoming victims throughout the country and the numbers are and will continue to grow.  The last thing anyone can believe is that this can't happen to me.  Well let me tell you it may not of happened to you yet, but it certainly can at anytime or anywhere.

Having been a victim of crime many years ago, I know what it's like.  It's not a good feeling when you are in the midst of fighting for your life.  That's exactly what you are doing when this happens, fighting to keep yourself safe.  A girlfriend and myself found ourselves in a bad situation and literally fought two attackers on the street one night.

We saw it coming but it was too late to escape the situation.  The only thing left to do was fight.  Back then self defense weapons were very hard to get your hands on.  It wasn't like it is today having the ability to purchase these defense tools just about anywhere.  I thought I was lucky enough to have a friend who provided me with pepper spray prior to going on our outing.

During our confrontation I used the pepper spray and much to my surprise it only pissed the attacker off and went after me even harder.  What I didn't know then was pepper spray had an expiration, the canister I was given was out of date and didn't perform as it should have.  This is very important when carrying pepper spray.  You must keep a tab on when it will expire and replace it accordingly.

Bottom line here is criminals don't care who you are or where you come from, they just want what they want and will do anything to get it.  My friend and I were very fortunate to have others intervene on our behalf and we came out of it fine but I still and will always remember that night like it was yesterday.

Please purchase self defense weapons to carry on you at all times.  I can't stress this enough to people, if nothing else carry pepper spray.  With the self defense devices available there's absolutely no reason why you shouldn't have one.  I know I surely do.
