Carrying Pepper Sprays is a Smart Decision

Well folks the statistics are in.  One in four people become a victim of a violent crime.  Every day you come home from work you turn on the news only to hear about the many individuals who have either been shot, murdered, raped or burglarized.  This is all you hear about these days.  Doesn't this bother you?  If it doesn't it should.  With all this crime and given the fact that many have lost their jobs and how the economy is, the crime is only increasing.

With all these self defense products you can find that they have been proven to work and are very effective against attacks.  Pepper sprays are a very good product they are very inexpensive, work very quickly and are easily carried.  Pepper spray is an inflammatory agent that debilitates swiftly.  This defense tool affects the membranes of the eyes, nose and mouth.  It will cause temporary blindness, clamps the eyes shut, severe burning sensations and difficulty breathing.  These affects will last up to 45 minutes with the aftermath lasting up to 2 hours.  This gives you plenty of time to escape to safety.

Pepper spray is affected by the wind so if you live in a windy environment you will not want to purchase foggers or cone style sprays.  Buying a stream pattern spray would be a better option for you.

Pepper sprays with a stream pattern will allow more range, 6 to 25 feet depending on which style you choose.  The stream is sprayed out in a straight line; it comes out hard and fast.  Accuracy is a must using this method.  Practicing with a stream spray will prove to be beneficial in your defense.

If you are up against multiple attackers then we suggest using foggers or cone spray.  Remember if you live in a windy environment you need to be aware of blow back.  Blow back is when you spray the pepper spray and it comes back onto you.  Fogger or cone sprays do not require such accuracy when spraying.

Purchasing pepper spray that has marking dye is very helpful for law enforcement on identifying the criminal.  Marking dye will last up to 10 days on whoever is sprayed and doesn't wash off!

Shelf life of pepper sprays is very important.  Depending on which you choose you can get up to 4 years life on your product.  When the pepper spray expires you will need to replace it as you are taking a chance on whether or not it will perform to its potential.
